Illustrazione, narrativa, fumetto, animazione e fotografia: inaugura oggi ad Asti la tre giorni dedicata alle arti visive organizzata dalla Casa del Popolo Oblò.
Alle 18.30 inaugurazione con la mostra su Il ritratto: Nei panni e nella pelle – ispirata a The Gossips del grandissimo Norman Rockwell – è il mio contributo per la manifestazione.

Domani ci
sveglieremo tutti lontani dai nostri letti, nei panni e nella pelle
di un altro, e parleremo una lingua non nostra. Accadrà a ogni
essere umano, senza esoneri, senza raccomandazioni. Tantomeno per i
capi di governo. La Regina d’Inghilterra si sveglierà in India, e
il suo pallore e il suo accento saranno solo un ricordo. La
Cancelliera tedesca in Italia, baffuta. La Premier britannica nella
terra dei folletti. Il Ministro dell’Interno nonché Vicepresidente
italiano si ritroverà in un campo Rom, senza connessione Wi-Fi. Il
Cavaliere sarà turco, e pure il suo cane. La Sorella d’Italia
russa e il Presidente della Federazione russa inglese. La
nazionalista francese si ritroverà a Cuba, il Segretario di Stato
U.S.A. in Corea e il Presidente francese nella Città Santa. Il Primo
Ministro ungherese si risveglierà somalo, il Papa cinese, il
Dittatore nordcoreano americano, il Commissario europeo nigeriano e
il Presidente degli Stati Uniti messicano. Quest’ultimo sarà fuori
di sé e inveirà contro la Regina, ma quella non capirà un’hache.
I nuovi ritratti saranno prontamente ritrattati, ma non servirà a cambiarne
nessuno.

Tomorrow
we all will wake up far from our beds, in the shoes and in the skin
of someone else, and we will speak another language, not ours. It
will happen to each and every human being, no exceptions, no
intercessions. Much less the government leaders. The Queen of England
will wake up in India, her paleness and her accent will be just a
memory. The German Chancellor in Italy, moustachioed. The British
Prime Minister in the land of leprechauns. The Italian deputy Prime
Minister and Interior Minister will find himself in a Roma camp,
without Wi-Fi connection. The Bunga-Bunga Knight will be Turk, and so
his dog. The Italian Sister will be Russian and, on the other hand,
the President of the Russian Federation will be English. The French
nationalist will step out of her bed in Cuba, the US Secretary of
State in Korea and the French President in the Holy City. The
Hungarian Prime Minister will wake up as a Somalian, the Pope as a
Chinese, the North Korean Dictator as a Northern American, the
European Commissioner as a Nigerian and the USA President as a
Mexican. This last will be out of his mind and rant about the Queen,
but she will not understand a single palabra.
These new portraits will be retracted, but no one will be changing.
